Senior Python Developer

Job Description:

Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Developer (Python). This is a non-ongoing role with an initial contract duration of 12 months, with a potential extension term of 12 months for up to 2 extensions, located at our client's offices in ACT. The successful candidate is expected to work 5 days a week, up to 40 hours.

As the selected candidate, you will:

• Demonstrate understanding of best practice software engineering practices.
• Lead a team of developers.
• Develop using the Python programming language.

Implement and maintain CI/CD solutions. Design and develop distributed systems.

Required Skills:

• Broad knowledge in software engineering concepts.
• Proficiency in programming languages.
• Experience in software build pipelines (e.g. CI/CD).
• Familiarity with cloud IaaS services.
• Expertise in Linux containers.
• Understanding of networking, system architecture, Linux, and Cloud security best practice.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with cloud IaaS environments (preferably AWS).
