Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a Python Developer position in the energy technology sector. This role requires a candidate with expertise in web application development, database management, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will contribute to innovative web application development and participate in future R&D activities. Multiple positions available for developers from junior to senior level.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft exceptional user experiences for specialised engineering tools
- Develop software or system structures as required
- Identify and scope new features and solutions for potential R&D activities
- Support the creation of R&D funding and consultancy proposals
- Mentor junior staff and potentially undertake line management responsibilities
- Maintain industry presence through conference participation, seeking relevant opportunities
Ideal Candidate
Essential skills and experience include understanding client user experience needs for web app-based graphical interfaces, Dockerisation, cloud platform experience (specifically ECS), proficiency in Python (Flask, MVT structure, SQL Alchemy, ORM), HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery, Data tables, AJAX), Jinja2, Node Package Manager, Git, SourceTree, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills. Experience in the Energy industry is highly desirable. Desirable skills include experience in CI/CD pipeline, cloud APIs, parallel computing, multiprocessing, multithreading, background services, mapping functions in a web page, code review experience, and professional work in a net-zero focused engineering context. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate strong understanding of model-based engineering and the ability to communicate effectively in languages relevant to the industry.

Salary & Location
Salary: £25,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Pension + Benefits
