Data Scientist - Remote

Job Description

Scalexperts have partnered with a company who are looking to bring a Data Scientist onboard as part of a brand new AI team. The team will be responsible for contributing towards the development of AI solutions within the firm's SaaS offering. The role will invole leveraging data to extract valuable insights and contributing to the development and deployment of AI solutions. The position would suit someone who has experience in data science, as well as AI - bridging the gap between analytical modelling and practical implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysing large and complex data sets to uncover meaningful patterns and trends
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, formulating data-driven solutions
• Identify relevant data sources which can support AI initiatives
• Develop data pipelines to clean, transform and prep data for modelling
• Apply statistical models to test hypotheses in order to make data-driven decisions
• Design, develop and implement AI models
• Deploy AI solutions into production environments which can then be iterated on to improve accuracy, scalability and efficiency
• Share AI/ML knowledge with the wider product development team to upskill various departments on AI/ML technologies

Key Skills Required

• Experience in a Data Scientist position with experience of programming languages including R and Python
• Knowledge of AI libraries and frameworks
• Understanding of statistical methods and their applications to real work scenarios
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures and software design principles
• Experience with a cloud platform (ideally AWS) would be highly beneficial
• Previous experience of working with engineering teams to put models into production

Additional Information

This would be a remote role, with meetups once every month or so.
