About the Client and Role
The client is a global visual inspiration social media platform used by people around the world to discover and personalize visual content. As a Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure Engineer), you will work on a large social media platform, dealing with petabytes of data daily. You will contribute to a self-organized R&D team and work in a challenging, innovative environment for our client.
Your Future Tasks
- Create blueprints for hybrid cloud infrastructures centered around AWS.
- Provide hands-on prototypes and implementations incorporating cloud engineering best practices.
- Design, implement, and maintain pipelines that produce business-critical data reliably and efficiently using cloud technology.
- Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
- Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
- Identify top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs.
- Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
- Understand the business drivers and analytical use-cases and translate these to data products.
Our Requirements
- Experience as Software Engineer with AWS Cloud services (AWS).
- Experience with programming languages C++ and Python.
- Experience with production back-end service development.
- Experience with service operations (deployment, testing).
- Experience with assessing application performance (latency, CPU utilization, profiling).
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Services API development.
- Knowledge of SSH, HTTPS, Certs, Encryption protocols.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions.
- Deep understanding of cloud component architecture, microservices, containers, IaaS, storage, security, routing/switching technologies.
- A passion for streamlining systems and processes.
