Job Overview:
At LPL Financial we consider it our mission to take care of our advisors so they can take care of their client. As a Senior Python Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions on AWS that are scalable, reliable, and secure. If you have strong Python, API, and AWS skills, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, tune and implement n-tiered web-based Dot Net applications while collaborating with Development, Enterprise Architecture and Product teams
- Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and prepare SDLC documentation
- Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systems
- Work collaboratively with QA, DevOPS teams to adopt CI/CD tool chain and develop automation
- Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support
- Design and develop core services and components with expertise in service-oriented architecture
- Design patterns and coding best practices.
What are we looking for?

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 7+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs with Python frameworks such as Flask, Django, Fast API, AWS Powertools, SQL Alchemy, etc.
- 3+ years of experience developing microservices-based applications on AWS, leveraging services like API Gateway, Lambda, Glue, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, AWS PostgreSQL RDS, etc.
- Strong understanding of API design principles and experience with documentation tools like Swagger
- Knowledge of AWS serverless architectures
Preferences:
- Experience with ELK Stack, TeamCity, TFS, and GIT
- Experience authoring Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka
Pay Range:
$103,360-$155,040/year Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
