The SAFFIRE team builds and maintains an exceptionally powerful platform enabling our users to address challenging real-world problems by converting disparate data into actionable information. We work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from the massive volumes of Geospatial Intelligence data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer adversaries. The Software Developer supporting the SAFFIRE program shall work in collaboration to enhance the analysis system leveraging proprietary capabilities. The Developer shall collaborate on the integration of capabilities from different systems. Additionally, you will collaborate on the design, development, testing and integration. You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance) required
  • Understand the Software development life cycle
  • Must have demonstrated experience developing with modern languages such as: Python, Ruby, Clojure, Java, JavaScript, etc.
  • Highly preferred to have Python programming language experience
  • Experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to problems
  • Demonstrated experience using rapid prototyping and Agile based software development methodologies

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of machine learning concepts
  • Experience integrating multiple applications
  • Experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies
  • Experience building scalable solutions to mission problems
  • Experience with development in microservice based architectures
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas
  • AWS API experience
  • AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps and/or, Architect, etc.)
  • Security+ Certification

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Clearance:

Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance and a polygraph preferred

Pay Range:

The proposed salary range for this position is $74,600-$156,700. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
