What You’ll Get to Do

As a Data Scientist supporting the SAFFIRE program, you will be working closely with software developers and teams to establish a consolidated data analytics environment. Your role will involve collaborating on designing, developing, and implementing custom data analytic solutions using COTS and FOSS software. You will apply data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data, working with the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevSecOps.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in data engineering and cloud data processing services (AWS Cloud)
  • Excellent programming skills in Python
  • Experience working in Databricks/Jupyter notebooks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps, Architect, etc.)
  • Security+ Certification
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms/databases like ElasticSearch
  • Experience with Big Data ingest and processing technologies
  • Experience with development in microservice based architectures
  • Knowledge of Neural nets and deep learning model
  • Knowledge of and experience with Geospatial data and technologies
