Job Description

The Markets Client Portal Team seeks a candidate who will be part of the core Product delivery team that is currently going through an exciting digital transformation program.

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Markets Client Portal Team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive environment. As an emerging member of this software engineering team, you will be responsible for building and supporting client facing functionality across our Internal and External platforms. Working with teams across the Markets business to deliver market leading Sales, Trading and Digital Markets Client applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with product to refine requirements to design and build a high quality software solutions to provide an excellent client user experiences
  • Partners with platform and business technology teams to deliver robust, scalable applications for our external and internal clients
  • Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
  • Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
  • Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Full-stack developer with proficiency in multiple modern programming languages (Python, Typescript/Javscript, and/or Java) to build complex web applications backed by RDBMS or NoSQL database
  • Understanding of software engineering concepts and formal applied experience of OO and functional programming paradigms
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages

Experience Across The Whole Software Development Life Cycle

  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Experience with Python and Typescript/Javascript
  • Experience with highly available microservices architecture on cloud (AWS, Cloud Foundry, etc.) and design across all systems
  • Familiarity with modern front-end web technologies
