Project Description
You will be working for one of the largest companies globally. They need help and support for their Energy Liquidity Planning Project to align the various entities across the company and the newly merged entity for their forecasting and have a consolidated global view; the aim is to get rid of old fashioned technology eg use of local excel sheets.
Objectives of this Role
- You are a proactive and skilled colleague who drives projects and services for a finance department of a big corporate.
- You focus on the requirement refinement & implementation using a broad range of tools, knowing how to interface and move stable processes to production.
- You communicate effectively with major stakeholders, incl. business process owners, project teams and IT colleagues.
- You develop and maintain back-end routines mostly in Snowflake, integrating Python, SQL and other syntax.
- You develop and maintain front-end applications.
- You produce quality code, raising the bar for team performance and speed.
Responsibilities
- Snowflake - design, develop and document cloud warehouses that are connected to AWS cloud. Apart from just tables and view it also involves building automatic data ingestion pipelines, data validation workflows, custom integrations (for example with Tableau) allowing for data manipulations and Java Script stored procedures that orchestrates more sophisticated data engineering tasks and data updates/inserts/deletions and validations.
- AWS - design and build all required architecture that will be used by Snowfalke cloud. It's mainly S3, AWS Lambda, AWS Transfer Family, API Gateway and a little bit of networking. I regularly help Siemens to fix all security issues they identified with the cloud.
- A little bit of Tableau development.
- Support in building integrations with all the other services used within the company (Mendix, KONG, sftp servers, local machines).
- Database migrations (most often SQL Server databases).
- Email notification pipelines utilising external API endpoints, Snowfalke and AWS Lambda functions.
- Support for Finance users in collecting the requirements, from time to time I translate their needs to IT language and explain them what is achievable.
- Integration of SAP data - knowing SAP will be a huge advantage for a new joiner.
Skills
Must have: Excellent English skills Required skills and qualifications 3+ years of relevant experience Excellent Snowflake, AWS products, Python and SQL Java Script and Python (at least one of them must be good), Git for version control Cloud: Snowflake + one of the main providers (ideally AWS). You are a highly open-minded, collegial expert who is eager to further develop the IT landscape of a highly dynamic and complex business Experience in writing scalable web applications for a global user base Proactive growth mindset that challenges the status quo and focuses on outside-the-box ideas and solutions.
Nice to Have
- Tableau, Postman, Snowpark and experience in finance job.
- Excellent foundation in various coding languages & tools.
