What You’ll Do
- Implement all phases of the development cycle for a software product from understanding requirements, to going through the design, development and deployment phases
- Work with a geographically distributed team
- Engage with Product Management, architects and other technical peers to ensure we are delivering the right things
- Design and develop platform capabilities within distributed and cloud architectures
- Take ownership and come with a desire to take action!
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive hands-on experience in Python, Go and Node.js
- Deep expertise and experience in Kubernetes development
- Self-motivated and willing to delve into new areas and take on new challenges in a proactive manner
- Experience delivering software with agile and lean software development
- Experience in development using open-source and modern cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure etc.
- Required experience with RESTful API development using Django REST Framework or similar technologies
- Experience with configuration management and deployment automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- Basic networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, HTTPS, VLANs, DNS, load balancing and firewalling, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, such as GitLab, JFrog Artifactory
- Working knowledge of Linux OS and Virtualization techniques/tools is a must
- An excellent communicator
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional development experience
- BS/BA or MS in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience
