Role Details

• Role: Python Web Developer
• Location: NYC, NY (Onsite, Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web applications using Python and either Django or Flask frameworks.
• Implement user-facing features and functionalities using ReactJS and CSS libraries.
• Integrate back-end APIs with front-end components to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Contribute to Python back-end code for financial applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and documented code following best practices.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to translate requirements into functional applications.
• Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience developing web applications with Python and either Django or Flask.
• Strong proficiency in ReactJS and CSS frameworks.
• Understanding of fundamental financial concepts.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and secure data handling practices.
• Experience working with relational databases/SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for the financial industry and a desire to build innovative solutions.

Bonus Points

• Experience with dash enterprise (plotly, data_table etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker).
