Senior Python Developer

Key responsibilities

• You will be responsible for providing technical support to the Pricing tools project, getting heavily involved with the build of rating models in a Python based SaaS application.
• You will collaborate closely with the Pricing team and other core project team members, including project managers and IT architects, to help ensure a successful outcome for the project.

Qualifications required

• University Degree and/or relevant professional qualification in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or economics

Experience required

• At least 5 years of experience in a data science or similar role, preferably within the insurance industry
• Advanced knowledge of Python, including hands-on experience with large data set manipulation and calculation modules
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, including hands-on experience of structuring tables, creating queries, and managing procedures
• Strong knowledge and experience of data analysis techniques, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning
• Broader experience working within a Pricing or Actuarial function is a plus
• Experience in working on similar Pricing tool projects would be hugely beneficial
