Job Description
ISO's Analytic Products unit is looking for insurance analytic talent. This individual will contribute to the production of analytic rating products that are driven by predictive modeling, including the Risk Analyzer solutions suite for personal & commercial lines.
- You will be responsible for the key technical aspects of updating and enhancing the Risk Analyzer rating products, demonstrating actuarial and business value to customers, and ideating, researching, and deploying of new modeled products.
- In this role, you will be collaborating with not just members of the Analytic Products team, but various other teams across the organization to support the products.
- The ideal candidate is highly inquisitive, organized and detail oriented, able to work independently and customer solution minded.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high-performing products.
- Lead efficient production update cycles for accurate and timely product releases.
- Utilize insurance ratemaking knowledge to properly contextualize Risk Analyzer models within the ISO rating plans and loss costs.
- Help respond to questions from regulators and insurers on analytic product filings and circulars.
- Use strong analytical skills to perform proof of concept tests on insurer portfolios and concisely communicate the results to demonstrate value of implementing Risk Analyzer.
- Work with product management & other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Collaborate with the data management and modeling teams to develop useful models that you will then 'productize' into customer-ready rating products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, actuarial, computer science, mathematics, economics, or operations research.
- English at least B2 level - spoken and written is a must.
- At least 2 years of work experience, especially related to actuarial, insurance/risk management, data management, and analytics.
- Strong Excel skills are required, along with the ability to learn programming languages.
- Prior experience with SQL, SAS, R, and/or Python are a plus.
- P&C insurance experience (1+ years) is preferred but not required.
- Practical experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
- SQL and Python experience are preferred.
- Familiarity with statistical modeling techniques such as linear regression, GLMs, tree models, cluster analysis, and model validation is a strong plus.
- Proactive, customer-focused candidate who operates with a sense of urgency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, listening and teamwork skills, and effective presentation skills.
- Aptitude in performing multiple tasks and dealing with changing deadline requirements.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model from a Cracow-based office.
