Job Summary
Responsible for development, programming, coding of Information Technology solutions using Python to enable Florida Blue Customer Experience applications. Conducts unit tests, peer code reviews, and maintenance of internally developed applications. Evaluates and performs performance testing of purchased products. Includes IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the application and data processed/output.

Responsibilities
Responsible for development, programming, coding of Information Technology solutions using Python. Documentation of the system, conduct unit tests, peer code reviews, and maintenance of internally developed applications. Evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. Includes IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the application and data processed/output. Excellent understanding of RESTful Architecture style.
Other Qualifications
- Ability to take a methodical approach to evaluate various libraries with pros and cons
- Experience and proficiency in developing REST APIs using Python
- Experience processing batch files and developing scheduling of batch processes using Python
- Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools
- High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Various Domain experience; Health Care, Financial, etc
- Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodology
- Specific tools, languages, and specialty skills may vary
Required Work Experience
