Mission statement
Come join the Data Services Team as we build the data service layer which empowers our internal community of over 1000 professionals across data, product and tech in the thriving ecosystem that is OLX Group. We're looking for a passionate software engineer to join our team in Poland. You will work in an agile, well-established and cross-functional central team composed of experienced product managers, backend and frontend software engineers, as well as data engineers.
What will you be doing?
- As a software engineer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and supporting systems related to data collection, data governance, consumption and data services.
- Our solutions cover tracking collection tools (SDKs, collection services and database replication), internal UIs to manage access and configuration and data services like experimentation (A/B testing), generic data serving and ML model serving.
- You will work closely with the data and product teams to deliver an integrated technology & big data solution, as well as cooperate with the regional OLX technology teams to roll out the services on OLX products around the globe to millions of users.
Who are we looking for?
- A team-player who has high learning agility, acts as an owner, and is customer-centric, with our internal data community as the main stakeholders.
- You must have considerable experience building, monitoring and running backend software in Python and good knowledge of relational databases, as well as an interest to work with Java, Kotlin or Go-based systems occasionally.
- We are looking for eagerness to learn new things and to master your craft, as well as pragmatism while striving for excellence.

- Python (90%), Java (10%), AWS, S3, Kinesis, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Presto, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab.
