Python/Java Developer with Perl Scripting

Role: Python Java Developer (Perl scripting is must)

Primary skills:

• Perl scripter with Python and Java is a plus (someone to be able to read Perl and translate the logic with Client's help to Python or java)
• A MUST IS to have financial IT experience
• Unix experience
• Experience with OS: Windows and Linux
• Good understanding of the database technologies
• Gitlab, DevOps pipelines

Nice to haves:

• Poweshell
• SQL or SSIS experience is an advantage
• Sybase would be nice to have
• specific app experience is a huge plus: FIS/ SS&C: Front Arena, Advent Geneva, Eze Castle
• Experience in L3 work, on-call support, production support as a plus (will be expected to handle releases, occasional support over evenings/weekends)

Personality wise:

• self-starter, with initiative, someone that can hit the ground running
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in Java and Perl programming skills
• Strong in programming skills with Perl
• Coding and unit testing of the features assigned
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Willingness to learn and work in proprietary tools
• Good Analytical and Debugging skills.
• You'll have experience working in Agile methodology
• Experience working with complex requirements and specification documents, and devise and develop appropriate software solutions
• Ability to integrate into an existing development team and work with an existing extensive code base
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks; as well as define problems, and develop methods to resolve them in a timely manner
