Python Developer

Job Description

Our client, a leading Utilities provider is looking for a Developer to join their team and assist with Data Warehouse and Data Modelling using Python in a developer capacity. This involves building data pipelines or ETL processes and building applications for business. With the vast majority of this work centred around data, certification in database development is essential along with advanced knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL including designing datamarts, data structures & data solutions. You will need advanced developer level Python experience with other technologies used including Javascript and PHP/Apach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining Trading, Retail, and Analytics solutions.
• Providing day-to-day BAU support (Incidents and Service Requests) for existing systems and databases.
• Collaborating with business users to understand requirements and achieve business outcomes.
• Developing and enhancing Bespoke applications, Data visualisations, and Dashboards involving real-time data integrations.
• Implementing development standards and frameworks, including migrating or re-building legacy applications using recommended tech stacks.

About You:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or adjacent field (preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, Python, PHP/Apache, Web Technologies with relevant full stack framework, reporting tools, Oracle PL/SQL
• Demonstrable experience as a Database Developer, specialising in Oracle environments.
• Experience in developing solutions involving real-time data integration and data dashboards and that are flexible and adaptable to a continually changing business environment
• Experience in developing data integration solutions that are flexible and adaptable to a continually changing business environment
