Position
Our client is expanding and taking on some exciting and new projects! The development manager is adding 4 members to the Agile R&D Team to work on various web and cloud projects around the enterprise. We have an immediate need for a Python Developer on a collaborative team of 8. This team is responsible for new code development around the enterprise and will be focusing on a Generative AI Platform for enterprise use. The candidate should have a background in Python development, experience working with data pipelines, API knowledge, and an interest to grow as a developer while learning new skills. We're looking for someone who is collaborative and able to take initiative starting on new projects. You don't have to know everything needed for this team just have a good positive mindset and an eagerness to learn and grow. Responsibilities
- Develop and refactor code on the backend using Python
- Develop and integrate data pipelines between server and cloud platforms
- Participate in high-level development and design for Generative AI components
- Collaborate with the development team in Agile standups
- Build out APIs using REST
- Create basic queries and procedures using SQL and Elasticsearch
- Periodically meet with the leadership and management teams for performance reviews
- Occasionally support data integrations using AWS

Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively to multiple teams
- Experience working with other developers in an Agile environment
- Experience with Python development
- Experience with API development
- Experience with data integration/data pipelines
- Software Engineering knowledge and understanding of common terminology
- Ability to visit the office 5 days a week
- Must be able to work on a W-2 without sponsorship
