Python / Database Developer

We are seeking a Python / Database Developer. This role involves implementing architectural changes and system developments within AWS architecture. Reporting to the development team lead, the developer will primarily work with housing price data, focusing on microeconomic aspects. The ideal candidate is a Computer Science professional with a strong grasp of Python and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and maintain Python APIs for data extraction from the housing price model.
  • Ensure accurate extraction of data from the model, with a focus on S3 storage.
  • Collaborate with the development team to implement architectural changes and system tweaks.
  • Work with AWS services such as Lambda, EMR, and DynamoDB to optimize data management processes.
  • Utilize Spark for data processing and analysis tasks.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of data during the extraction and processing stages.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to data extraction and system functionality.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Python development and cloud computing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python programming is essential.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • Demonstrated experience with database management and backend development.
  • Familiarity with tools like EMR and Spark for data processing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Prior experience in financial or mortgage industries is a plus, but not required.
