What You Will Do

  • Support the development and management of tools for the DOE's Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM)
  • Work on E3SM-Unified and Polaris tools
  • Maintain compatibility and coordinate releases of conda and Spack packages
  • Produce initial conditions and regression tests for E3SM models
  • Work with Python, conda, Spack, and GitHub Actions

What You Need

  • B.S. in computer science, climate modeling, or a related field
  • Experience with Python, C/C++, Java, Julia, and Fortran

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with package management in PyPI, conda-forge, or Spack
  • Experience with Earth system modeling workflows
  • Experience in parallel computing environments
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines

Additional Details

No Clearance

Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will undergo drug testing and pre-employment background checks.
