Your Mission
The Navigation/Gaming team at MBition specializes in developing immersive and location-based apps and games for various Mercedes-Benz carlines. We take pride in owning the entire development chain, from in-car sensors and backend services to customer-facing infotainment applications, including UI design and operations. We're seeking an enthusiastic Python Allrounder to join our team and contribute to the success of our in-car products.
Sneak preview of your future tasks
As a Python Allrounder, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for supporting and enhancing the backends that power our in-car products. Your main responsibilities include:
- Development: Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features and services for our applications and games.
- Operations: Assist in the maintenance and operational aspects of our backend systems. Don't worry - we don't do on-calls!
- Backend Services: Work on high score and analytics services, route generation and annotation, AI services, and app release management.
- Technology Stack: Utilize our technology stack, which includes Python, Flask, FastAPI, SQLite, Docker, systemd, OpenAPI, OpenAI, WebGL, Unity, and open data sources like Wikidata, OpenStreetMap, and Wikimedia Commons.
Your Profile
Must have:
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Knowledge of web frameworks like Flask and FastAPI.
- Experience with Docker and systemd for operations.
- Familiarity with source control tools - we use GitLab.
- Experience with databases, particularly SQLite.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of open data sources like Wikidata, OpenStreetMap, and Wikimedia Commons is a plus
- Familiarity with technologies like OpenAI, WebGL, and Unity is advantageous.
Personal Skills:
- Pragmatic and results-oriented mindset.
- Quick prototyping skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, enthusiastic team.
- Passion for innovation and delivering high-quality in-car experiences
Language
Proficiency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

Berlin. Hybrid (2 to 3 days per week in office)
