Full Stack Python Developer - Remote in Ireland
IT Search is delighted to be partnered with a leading Energy Management Systems specialist who is a dedicated provider of technology-driven, end-to-end, hardware and software solutions, which are designed to assist organisations, to measure and manage their energy usage.
They create sophisticated technology solutions that will enable their global customers to fulfil their commitments to sustainability and decarbonisation while concurrently improving their client's advantage. Every day, their software and hardware solutions control and monitor electrical loads (like Electric Vehicle chargers), energy storage systems (like grid-scale batteries) and renewable energy systems (for example, solar and wind).
Essential Requirements
- 3+ years of Development experience with Python
- Developing for Linux-based systems / CLI knowledge
- JavaScript / TypeScript (Angular, Vue or React)
- Cloud-based architectures (AWS ideally)
- Databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, Influx)
- Knowledge and use of SQL
- Experience with Docker-based application development
- Use of MQTT/RabbitMQ, WebSockets, REST-based APIs
Distinct Advantages
- Previous experience working on the software side with Electric Vehicles (EVs) or in the automotive or energy management/efficiency domains
- Previous experience working with EV charging and/or backend protocols (OCPP) and EV smart charging implementations and algorithms
