Full Stack Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer for one of our long-standing clients in the Cincinnati OH area (Givaudan). The client requires onsite on an as-needed basis so candidates must be willing to travel onsite upon request for meetings, testing, milestone sessions, etc. or relocate to the area. This will start off as a 9 month contract role and extensions will be contigent on peformance and future project pipeline. Start date will be end of February.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure performance and scalability
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in software development, including proficiency in Java and Python
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
• Strong understanding of product design principles
• Proficiency in data mapping and data modeling techniques
• Solid SQL development skills
• Experience in front-end design and development
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with front-end: Angular (preferably version 15)
• Experience with backend: RESTful API / Java / Python
• Experience with SS0/LDAP integration is a plus
• Experience with API development is a plus
• Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus
• Experience with Oracle front end UI is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment
