Computational Linguist

Job Opportunity

Calling out Linguists to join a Global Tech / AdTech Media Company in London.

Requirements

• Languages: Excellent English, + any other languages such as Spanish, and another language such as Chinese, French, or Italian, the top 10 languages are great.

The Offer

• Annual Salary up to £64,000 doe and location
• 12- month contract - inside IR35 - PAYE - paid weekly.
• Location: London - can be worked remotely within the UK.

Your Profile

• Degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Communications or similar.
• You must be able to code in Python and query databases using SQL, other coding languages used for data analysis (e.g., R) are a plus.
• Must have a very firm grasp of the following linguistic fields: language typology, syntax, morphology, sociolinguistics (especially dialectology and discourse analysis), corpus linguistics, writing systems, pragmatics, phonology.
• Experience in the social media and mobile space.
• Knowledge of online advertising platforms and concepts.
• Experience in localization project management would be a plus.
• Must have some experience with applying basic Natural Language Processing techniques.
