We are currently looking for a Cloud Data Engineer (Python) to join our team (full-time) in Vienna or remote (within Europe).
Engineering Team
The Engineering Team plays a crucial role in scaling our global platform while collaborating closely with our product organization to expand across various verticals and product lines.
Foundation Team Responsibilities
The Foundation Team is responsible for handling all data operations at TourRadar. The work environment is agile and focused on delivering value to customers quickly.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ETL workflows for various business areas
- Evaluate and implement off-the-shelf machine learning solutions
- Work with different teams to maintain the "data layer" for TourRadar
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security and integrity
- Take responsibility and ownership over the database systems
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience with Python
- At least three years of experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Demonstrated industry experience with simple data science and machine learning tasks
- Analytical mindset, strong work ethic, and ability to deal with changing demands
- Proven industry experience with databases, specifically MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications
- Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding
- Understanding of data modeling techniques
- Experience with Data Warehousing
- At least two years of industry experience designing ETL workflow patterns
Desired Skills
- BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
- Experience with e-commerce and marketing data
- AWS certification in Solutions Architect, Data Engineer or Machine Learning
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience with AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, or similar ETL orchestration technologies
- Experience with Apache Spark
- Demonstrable experience interacting with Language Models
