Automation QA Engineer with Python

Job Description

Avenga is looking for a highly skilled AQA Engineer in Europe to join our team. Our client is a leading global financial consulting company, one of the largest asset managers in the UK. The company’s line of business includes holding or owning securities of companies other than banks.

As an Automation QA Engineer, you will play a big role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through the design, implementation, and execution of automated testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust automated test scripts using Python to validate software functionality and performance;
• Contribute to a future-ready, high-quality, and performance code base;
• Run existing tests and analyze the results;
• Create and configure build/test pipelines;
• Partly perform manual testing;
• Collect test automation metrics from teams to measure and advance test automation maturity;
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of automated test scripts;
• Participate in problem-solving, solution design, and planning sessions for all initiatives and experiments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer;
• Excellent in Python and expertise in Playwright;
• Good hands-on experience with Pytest automation test frameworks;
• Proficient in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, as well as experience in testing UI and APIs;
• Manual testing experience (no less than 50 percent of the time);
• Experience in working with Agile methodologies and being able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
• English — Upper-Intermediate.
