One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage MULTIPLE motivated Actuaries toextract, cleanse and prepare data from multiple sources. The role is based in multiple locations with the successful Actuary to be offered a 12 month with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities

• Extracting, cleansing and preparing of data from multiple sources, in particular the data warehouse
• Utilising statistical and mathematical modelling techniques to undertake analytical work on a range of tasks, including actuarial monitoring and analyses, data tabulations, scheme projects and cost benefit analyses
• Undertaking ad hoc modelling requests and report production

Experience Needed

• Experience with R or Python, in one or more of the following areas: data manipulation, predictive modelling, optimisation, data visualisation
• Exposure to or knowledge about statistical or ML modelling
• Relevant academic qualification including tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics and Part 1 of Actuarial Associate qualification (or progress towards).
