RoomPriceGenie was founded in 2017 with the mission to help hoteliers all over the world to get their prices right. Many independent hotels are struggling with digitalization and their business is becoming more and more complex. They need our help! We make revenue management technology for hotels, guesthouses, and vacation rentals, for single-property businesses and groups – they all use cloud-based property management software and want to increase their revenue in a transparent and efficient way. Our customers come from all over the world and love our solution and service. RoomPriceGenie helps hospitality business owners all over the world, from the USA to Canada, from Iceland to South Africa, from Japan to Slovenia, and from Italy to the UK. Now we need to get the word out to everyone that we are here to help hoteliers get their prices right. We would love to have you onboard for this journey!
Our young and motivated team
Our team is distributed across Europe (Amsterdam, Belfast, Breda, London, Toulouse, Valencia) and we have offices in Mannheim, Germany, and Steinhausen, Switzerland. We are looking for people who have a passion for the hospitality industry and want to help hoteliers by making them more money while making their lives easier.
Your role
As a Senior Python Backend Developer (m/f/d) at RoomPriceGenie, you will have an exciting and challenging role at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company. You'll be responsible for various tasks in the following areas:
- Work on our core revenue optimization algorithm.
- Work in a team of nerds who love numbers.
- Work with a small team of experienced and highly talented developers using Python and Django.
- Evolve our architecture and engineering to support the ever-growing users, features, and data scale.
- Work closely with Product and Design, taking full responsibility and ownership from conception to post-deployment in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Build up a strong engineering organization and development culture.
Your profile
- 5+ years of professional development experience with Python.
- Great with numbers and (optimization) algorithms (Scipy).
- Interest in statistics.
- Advanced understanding of Python development-related libraries such as Django.
- Experience with Scipy, Numpy, and Pandas, Polar, or similar.
- Excellent knowledge of software design principles.
- Great communication skills.
- High ownership skills.
- Team player, egoless, and empathetic.
- You are fluent in English.
- You are based in the European Time Zone (UTC+0 / UTC+2).
Nice to have(s)
- Being based in Mannheim/Germany or nearby, so we can meet at our office now and then :-).
- Hands-on experience with: AWS RDS, DocumentDB, S3, ECS/Fargate, DataDog, Sonarqube.
