Job Description
Senior Data Scientist – London | Hybrid – Python. I’m working with a firm in the marketing realm in the City of London who, thanks to continued growth (20%+ over the last 3 years, year-on-year), are now looking to onboard a Senior Data Scientist to their small technical team. As a senior in the role, you’ll be afforded real autonomy when it comes to making technical decisions, deciding on best practices, choosing the technology that is right for the job, and making the role your own. It’s a nice opportunity for someone not wishing to join a role surrounded by red tape to really put their own stamp on things. As well as working within your agile team, you’ll be working with several internal and client-based teams, helping to develop models, tools, and algorithmic models, to help aid in customer retention, engagement, and much more. The firm is beginning to use Machine Learning and AI within the role, so the ideal candidate will already have a familiar grasp and will be able to construct problem-solving initiatives to combat and predict consumer and advertising trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders within the business to understand the complexity and objectives of the team, and how you might help bridge the gap.
- Translate technical and data-driven insights into accessible presentations/guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
- Utilizing data science tools / languages to help the business garner next-best actions and problem-solving initiatives from existing datasets (ad targeting, up-sell/re-sell opportunities, opportunities for continued engagement).
- Work within data science and machine learning to continue automating the existing product suite: AI, Chatbots, Actions, Workflows etc.
- Explore new AI approaches and stay updated on advancements to tackle complex issues.
Key Experience
- Python Programming Language – 4-5+ years of experience in a Data Science setting.
- Experience in AI / Machine Learning + either PyTorch / TensorFlow.
- Experience with NumPy / Pandas.
- Matplotlib / Plotly.
- SQL/MySQL/database experience.
- The ability driving projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent communication skills, Fluency in English is required.
