Python/PySpark Developer – GCP/Azure & Nifi

Job Description

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs, studying systems flow, data usage and work processes
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
• Collaborate with Business Analysts who carry out the detailed investigation into software requirements and will communicate the changes required to the system
• Conferring with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities
• Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces based on business requirements
• Working with Linux operating system to complete project tasks

Mandatory Skills

• 5-7 years of Developer Experience (Front or Back end)
• 3-5 years of recent Python/PySpark experience
• Prior Financial Institution experience
• 2+ years' experience working with database technology and writing intermediate SQL queries
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
• Time management abilities
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Post Secondary Education in Comp Science or Engineering

Preferred Skills

• Prior FI Compliance experience/knowledge an asset
• Experience in Google Cloud Platform/Azure would be an asset
• Prior Apache Nifi experience would be beneficial for this position
