Python Developer

About the Position

Are you passionate about driving innovation in renewable energy and energy storage? We are currently seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our dynamic team in Houston. As a key contributor, you will play a pivotal role in our focus on the energy transition and providing clean energy solutions across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications with expertise in business analysis, design, testing, and support.
• Propose and implement improved technical solutions for the company’s existing stack.
• Build reusable and well-tested code to optimize performance and reliability.
• Utilize microservice architecture to develop distributed applications via REST API.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of commercial Python experience.
• Proficiency in writing PL-SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Experience developing unit and regression test cases using Python.
• Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and memory management.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
• Previous experience in commodity trading, risk management, or fintech is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Compensation

Base salary from $100,000 to $130,000 + 20% annual bonus, and the client requires 4 days per week onsite in Houston.
