Python Backend Developer

Job Description:

A Python Backend Developer is required for a market-leading Data & Cloud specialist consultancy who make data technically accessible across their client network. This exciting opportunity is based in the popular Amsterdam location. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining large-scale systems that collect data and develop state-of-the-art data platforms or machine learning applications.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the end-to-end product delivery
• Collaborate with Software Developers, Data Engineers & Data Scientists
• Partner with product managers to add value to products
• Drive improvements to the systems
• Develop a sense for technical debt, operational risk, and data quality
• Estimate, plan, and execute projects

Requirements:

• Fluent in Dutch & English Language
• BS/MS in a Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of Software Development experience (Python)
• Experience with Software Testing and Test-Driven Development
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Understanding of RESTful API and Microservices
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP
