Recruitment for Principal Data Engineer

I am currently partnered with one of the premier sports and entertainment enterprises in the world to assist them in staffing their rapidly expanding technology organization. I am recruiting for a Principal Data Engineer who is enthusiastic about building engaging products that are changing the landscape of live sports and entertainment and delivering new digital experiences to millions of consumers. As a Principal Data Engineer, you will join a world-class engineering team contributing to award-winning and complex platforms. The role requires:

• Extensive background in SQL, ETLs, and expertise in Python
• Experience with data movement, manipulation, and Google BigQuery

Must be local to New York City - Hybrid environment, 3 days in the Midtown NYC office & 2 days remote.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver on high traffic, large scale global platforms encompassing everything from content to media
• Accelerate and solidify the Data Engineering team’s development, deployment, and support
• Build new data pipelines, troubleshoot existing ones
• Develop complex Python scripts, interact with APIs and data stores

Skills & Experience Needed

• 7+ Years of SQL data engineering experience
• Expert ability in building scalable and secure data platforms
• Python experience for scripting, expertise with Google BigQuery
