Project Description

About the Project - Building metrology equipment for precision measurements for optical systems. The project scope is commissioning the PLC automation software that will control the mechatronics of the metrology equipment.

Our team - The team will be part of a larger team that is working for our client that is a leader in Integrated Circuits Lithography domainTechnologies used: PLC Siemens S7 1500, Simatic

The candidate needs to be familiar with the S7 platform and able to implement what the architect has designed.

NOTE: 25% travel time onsite (in Germany, Oberkochen) - 1 week every 4-6 weeks (2-3 weeks/quarter)

Responsibilities

  • Following a defined test strategy specify test cases, test plans and test suites.
  • Review of software, system requirements and documentation.
  • Automation of test cases, development, and maintenance of test scripts.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
  • Test execution
  • Report of test progress and test results based on defined test strategy.
  • Collaboration with module owners, software developers and other test departments to achieve goals.

Mandatory Skills Description

Completed bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics or Computer Science, desirable with a master’s degree with orientation to automation software or software qualification

Professional experience working in an agile team environment

Professional experience in testing (Desirable: focus on automation software)

Professional experience working with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines

Proficiency in Object Oriented programming languages (with a focus in Python)

ISTQB Certification Tester Foundation Level

Knowledge of test methodologies and norms (e.g. ISO 29119)

Knowledge and experience with industrial automation software, especially Siemens Automation (TIA Portal)

Knowledge of OPC-UA, is desirable

Systematic, analytical, and independent way of working

Ability to work in a team members

Excellent communication in English, German is a plus

Ownership of responsibilities

Remote position, though 2-3 onsite (Oberkochen) weeks per quarter required
