Full Stack Engineer (Angular/Python)

Position Description

  • Looking to build high-performance, secure applications that span the entire software stack? We're seeking a talented and passionate Full Stack Engineer to join our team!

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain highly scalable and performant web applications using the Angular framework.
  • Design and integrate RESTful APIs using Python and robust frameworks like Django, Flask, or Fast API.
  • Package and deploy microservices using Docker containers and orchestrate them on AWS EKS.
  • Implement robust security measures including authorization, authentication, and best practices.
  • Interact extensively with relational and analytical databases, efficiently retrieving and persisting data.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of database design principles, writing complex SQL queries to retrieve data effectively.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins to automate testing and deployment of both Angular front-end and Python back-end applications on AWS infrastructure.
  • Develop automated testing solutions using Pytest or similar frameworks.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product owners, architects, tech leads, fellow engineers, data modelers, and stakeholders) to deliver high-quality software.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on AWS, containerization, container orchestration, web development frameworks, and best practices.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • 8+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • In-depth knowledge of Python and back-end development principles.
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration (e.g., AWS EKS).
  • Solid understanding of relational and analytical databases (and SQL).
  • Experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for learning and staying current with the latest technologies.

Location and Compensation

This role must be located at one of the following locations: Merrimack, NH, Boston, MA Smithfield, RI or Knoxville, TN.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $119,500 -$230,100.
