Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C++ Python Linux) London / WFH to £160k

Do you have expertise with C++ / Python backend development? You could be progressing your career working on complex, real-time systems at a global Hedge Fund in a senior, hands-on Backend Software Engineer role with continual learning, development and problem solving opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small engineering team and Portfolio Managers
• Build, operate, and evolve the technical stack
• Develop modular systems for various challenges
• Work on data pipelines, intraday signal research tools, high frequency trading, back-testing, and more
• Engage in full development lifecycle activities
• Problem-solving in a fast-paced environment

Location & Requirements

• Location / WFH: London office three days a week with 2 days of WFH
• Expertise in C++ and fluency in Python
• Experience designing and developing at a buy-side firm
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS / Systems Administration
• Good understanding of various technical aspects
• Collaborative with excellent communication skills
• Degree educated, likely to MSc / PhD level
