Your mission

  • Join our Edge Compute development team in their daily work.
  • Maintain and further develop our Edge Compute application (gateway software for industrial machines) in Python 3.
  • Improve the test coverage with a focus on integration tests using the Robot Framework.
  • Collaborate in an agile team using agile methodologies.

Your profile

Required qualifications:

  • Enrolled student (bachelor or master) at a German university in computer science or a comparable study program (e.g., Machine Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering).
  • Knowledge of Python 3 and OOP.
  • Experience in using Git as your version control.
  • Basic understanding of docker or docker-compose.
  • Fluent English communication skills, verbal and written (German is a plus).
  • Responsible team player with a structured way of working.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and always up for a challenge.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in writing automated tests or using testing frameworks, preferably Robot Framework.
  • Experience in working with CI pipelines, preferably Gitlab pipelines.
  • Experience in using Portainer.
  • Knowledge of REST API-Services.
  • Knowledge of SQLite 3, InfluxDB, or any other SQL.
  • Interest in tinkering with sensor hardware, PLCs, and other industrial equipment.
