About this role

Team Overview:

BlackRock's Reporting and Distribution Services team (RDS) sits within CX Operations and is responsible for the preparation and delivery of sophisticated economic and financial analysis to a diverse client base. Portfolio performance, attribution and investment commentary as well as detailed risk analytics are provided to clients through formal periodic reporting and web delivery. In addition, Reporting Services is responsible for partnering with multiple upstream data providers ranging across Data & AI, Accounting, Performance and regional investment and product strategy teams

Role:

  • Define and drive the functional technology strategy and vision, aligning it with the organization's business goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices, providing recommendations for adoption and implementation.
  • Lead global projects / programs aligned to functional roadmaps with full accountability
  • Build new globally accepted report templates for wide use to promote standardization
  • Sharing Platform enhancement requests for Technology to make the tools ready for BLK and outside BLK for commercial opportunities.
  • Maintain full accountability and ownership of sensitive clients globally
  • Project Management (Global), Exposure to tech-ops engagements, process re-engineering, functional ownership, matrixed reporting (global), CX exposure, exposure to influence at global engagements

Skills:

  • B. Tech (Computer Science) or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Experience in leading projects (local or global), stakeholder management, working with competing priorities
  • Knowledge of software development concepts and programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C#
  • Experience with web development frameworks such as Angular, React, or Django.
  • Experience with cloud technologies
  • Professional experience in full stack Software Engineering
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to new technologies
