Autonomy Analytics Team

The Autonomy Analytics team evaluates the performance of the company's autonomous software using data, statistics, and machine learning. The team combines real-world testing data with extensive simulations to build metrics and analytics ensuring product safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The team comprises members from diverse backgrounds and geographic locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of automated analysis for evaluating automated driving technology performance
  • Work with cloud infrastructure engineers to develop data processing pipelines
  • Partner with systems engineering teams to define requirements for product evaluation
  • Liaise with autonomy engineers to empower quick iteration and confident product shipment
  • Develop tooling, processes, and procedures for performance verification and validation
  • Mentor engineers within and outside the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field plus 7+ years of experience (or Master's degree with 5+ years, or PhD with 2+ years)
  • Strong opinions on designing metrics and forecasting system performance
  • Extensive large-scale data analytics experience
  • Expertise in Python and SQL
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Track record of cross-team collaboration for company-level impact

Nice to have:

  • Experience in autonomous driving systems
  • Background in robotics and machine learning
  • Experience in system verification and validation
  • Knowledge of perception, prediction, motion planning, and computer vision
  • Proficiency in C++
  • Knowledge of cloud computing architectures

Salary Information

The expected base salary range for this full-time position in California is $207,760-$285,670 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible for annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and a generous benefits program.

Additional Information

Candidates for positions with Latitude AI must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible positions.
