We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer - Application Development to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in contributing to the development of software solutions. This position involves hands-on coding, problem resolution, cross-team collaboration, and active participation in the software development lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented engineer to make significant contributions to the success of our projects and advance their technical skills in a collaborative environment.

A day in the life! You will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing all commercial software development duties, including but not limited to technical design, coding, and unit testing so that high quality commercial software releases are delivered to clients in a predictable and consistent schedule according to WellSky development processes
  • Collaborating with solutions team(s) to define requirements, conduct analysis, and solve problems on a single product/service
  • Preparing technical documentation, conducting, and participating in code reviews to ensure that commercial software code meets internal standards and follows industry best practices and the highest quality
  • Offering technical direction and guidance to other product development team members and assisting in managing development environments as well as installing and configuring commercial products

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience
  • 4-6 years related work experience
  • Proficient in Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with cloud computing platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure.
  • Expertise with NoSQL, GraphQL and asynchronous communication model.
  • Experience with designing and deploying applications in cloud environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues.
  • Experience in domain driven and CQRS architectural patterns.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare domain.
