Trader Corporation is the team behind Canada’s leading automotive marketplace, autoTRADER.ca. They are a technology-driven company creating world-class solutions for users and dealer customers. Trader Corporation is currently seeking a short-term Senior Full Stack Python Engineer for their distributed engineering office.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and overseeing end-to-end delivery of full-stack web solutions
• Providing appropriate testing information and environments for validation
• Performing code studies on legacy platforms
• Maintaining and improving engineering standards
• Conducting root-cause analysis on software defects
• Participating in team meetings and processes
• Working closely with Product stakeholders

Required Skills

• Experience as a full-stack web developer using Python and Vue.js or React
• Knowledge of SQL, Postgres, and RDBMs fundamentals
• Experience with writing detailed tests and RESTful APIs
• Working knowledge of git, Docker, and cloud-based platforms
• Experience with cross-functional teams and software optimization
• Ability to work remotely and independently
• Exceptional communication skills in English

Experience

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 8+ years building online software
• Knowledge of website usability and web application architectures
• Understanding of storage foundations and modern security practices
• Proficiency in agile methodologies in a Kanban delivery environment
• Experience with remote, distributed teams
