Job Description

Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) each and every week. This resource will be required to work from the Equifax office location in Alpharetta, GA. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

What you will do

  • Work closely with Client Services, Technology Development and Product Development to define Security Risk Metrics and Scores.
  • Design, develop, and operate large scale applications across a full engineering stack.
  • Collaborate with the DevSecOps team with automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Git and Chef in scalable production environments.
  • Have experience with cloud service providers such as GCP and AWS, as well as cloud-based systems.
  • Mentor and assist the team in implementing projects and programs across Security.
  • Apply modern software development practices like CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-code, serverless computing, microservices architecture etc.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues.
  • Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to data and information.
  • Actively participate in Sprint planning, Sprint retrospectives, and other team activities.
  • Require deep knowledge and experience needed to operate independently with minimal guidance.
  • Offer fresh perspective on existing solutions to handle complex problems.
  • Make decisions within established guidelines and policies that impact various customer, operational, process, or project activities.
  • Research new technologies and incorporate knowledge into ongoing project needs.

What Experience You Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years experience writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in mainstream Python, Angular, JavaScript, JSON, XML, Powershell, and Groovy.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing applications using web frameworks such as Flask or Django.
  • 5+ years experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs.
  • 3+ years of experience in data handling, management and ETL processes.
  • Experience with big data processing solutions using BigQuery, PubSub, GCS and others.
  • Proficiency in using source code control management systems like Github and build tools like Maven & Gradle.

What could set you apart

  • Knowledge of Security Domain and Controls.
  • Familiarity with Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management (CAASM).
  • Experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience with GCP or AWS.
  • Prior experience in developing Operational or Security Metrics.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identify and respond with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, XP).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to articulate complex technical concepts effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, manage internal client expectations.
