Position Summary
The Software Engineer will be an individual contributor with expertise in SAS, Python, and SQL, with experience using these languages in cloud environments. The ideal candidate should be proficient in converting code between these languages and have a strong understanding of data processing and analytics.
The Sr. Software Engineer will:
- Develop, optimize, and implement software applications using Python, SAS, and SQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design efficient solutions.
- Convert code between Python, SAS, and SQL to support data processing and analytics tasks.
- Optimize and integrate software applications with cloud services and platforms.
- Conduct code reviews, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure code quality and performance.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in software engineering and cloud computing.
- Ensure code is optimized to reduce cloud compute costs by following best practices.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years working as a Software Engineer, with a high level of proficiency and expertise in Python, SAS, and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with data processing, analytics, and database concepts.
- Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Strong ability to convert code between Python, SAS, and SQL.
- Experience with Google BigQuery.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$83,430.00 - $201,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
