Job title: Splunk/Python Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)

Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:

Design, develop, and implement Splunk solutions to meet business requirements, including dashboards, alerts, reports, and data visualizations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Splunk platform.
Perform Splunk platform administration tasks, including user management, data inputs, and forwarder management.
Develop custom scripts and applications using Python to enhance Splunk functionalities and automate tasks.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk deployments, data ingestion, and search performance.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in Splunk and Python development to continuously improve system efficiency and performance.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members, as needed.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated experience with Splunk administration, configuration, and development, including Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud.
Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in developing scripts and applications for automation and data manipulation.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, such as servers, networks, and databases.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Git, Jenkins, and Ansible, is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Power User, Splunk Certified Admin) are desirable but not required.
