Job Description

Experian Innovation Lab is a R&D unit at Experian formed with the focus on research and development of innovative solutions by applying Machine Learning and big data technology to the vast amount of data assets Experian has and may acquire.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leverage your proficiency in Python, Java, or C/C++ to develop and deploy innovative applications.
  • Pioneer the exploration and prototyping of new technologies, driving enhancements in technical feasibility and overall system quality.
  • Balance new feature development with the maintenance and enhancement of existing product functionalities.
  • Embrace and champion engineering best practices, uphold coding standards, make strategic architectural decisions, and drive our culture towards technical excellence.
  • Shape and advance our system architecture principles, applying them universally to enhance scalability and performance across all projects.
  • Create clear and consistent documentation for software designs and processes, enhancing understanding and uniformity within our team.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/PhD Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 2-4 years of experience across the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language: Python, Java, C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop ecosystem).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in designing, training, deploying, and monitoring LLMs.
  • Experience with developing large-scale software platforms, including ETL, data quality, data fusion, and real-time ingestion and delivery.
  • Experience in Big Data technologies: Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Pig, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, as well as graph databases.
  • Experience with streaming data processing platforms like Kafka and developing real-time based solutions.
  • Experience in data visualization with JavaScript libraries, JQuery, and understanding of web applications, services, and ecosystems.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
