Job Description

SOFTWARE ENGINEER Python , React, Html.
An excellent opportunity to work for a successful technology company based in Reading . You will be working as part of a specialist team to rapidly develop, optimise, deploy and maintain web-based software solutions for new and existing customers. Ideally you will have a B.Sc. or Masters in Computer Science and be proficient in Python. You should also have the right to work full-time in the UK.

Mandatory Skills

• Python with associated libraries (e.g. Flask, Django, Numpy, Requests Dask etc)
• PostgreSQL
• Nginx or Apache
• Github, Docker
• Windows, Linux
• Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)

Nice-to-have Skills

• Queueing technologies (e.g. Redis, Celery)
• Python geospatial libraries (e.g. GDAL, Shapely, PyProj, Rasterio, Geopandas etc)
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Terraform etc)
• Knowledge of GIS and Earth Observation data formats (e.g. GeoJSON, GeoTIFF, COG etc)
• OGC standards/services

• Ability to work collaboratively in a technical team
• Experience across all phases of the software product lifecycle
