What You Will Be Doing
Your initial focus will be customer onboarding and automation. You will be coordinating the customer onboarding engineering activities with the stream-aligned teams. As you go through these activities you will be improving the automation mechanisms and aiding the transition to fully automated boarding. You will leverage your existing python and automation skills during this stage. As the boarding activities become fully automated you will gradually become a member of one of the stream-aligned teams delivering direct value to customer through the development of microservices, SDKs or web portals.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Fulfil and improve the engineering activities part of the customer onboarding process. This requires coding.
- Collaboratively develop the features and engineering capabilities for the products your squad own. We aim to employ automation for everything.
- Collaborate in all stages of development from requirement discussions with the Product Owner to the deployment of the feature in the cloud.
- Join the on-call rota to support the highly available products developed by the squad.
- Provide your squad with the tools to enable data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with your fellow engineers from other squads to develop cross-squad features.

Added Bonus If You Have
- Experience building microservices with Docker, Spring Boot and Java.
- Experience with Test Driven Development.
- Exposure to the Payments industry domain (especially Cards and other payment schemes).
