Our client is a market-leading software house specializing in developing software within the vSAN world. Their vision is to solve the world's edge data problems by helping customers store, protect, and use data where and when it is most valuable.

They are an established UK engineering team working on greenfield projects and are looking for a proven Software Engineer to join them.

Main Responsibilities

• Developing high-quality software designs and architecture.
• Provide input and feedback towards designs and code implementation.
• Identifying, prioritizing, and executing tasks in the software development life cycle.
• Mentoring and providing technical advice and leadership to junior team members.
• Contributing to the ongoing evolution of existing applications and systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and management.
• Demonstrating strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail, completing and evidencing code quality.
• Problem-solving, including testing and debugging software.
• Investigating and staying up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

Requirements & Skills

• Proven work experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of software methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Solid knowledge of relevant programming languages and Scripting.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Ideally, experience in the Storage & Data Services market including Software and Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, and networking.
