Overview
Planning, migrating, and integrating multiple on-prem data sources into a modern Azure data architecture. This initiative will focus on data migration and integrating 10+ datasets, including new and historical data, time-series and trending data, and some additional datasets into a data lake. As the Project Manager, you will need to lead a diverse team to unpack how this data is currently ingested into databases, how it is being shared with downstream users, understand different SSIS packages, estimate what the effort is to migrate the on-prem data to the client's data marketplace.
The goal will be understanding technical constraints and chalking out a detailed implementation plan, followed by identifying and leading a team of onshore and offshore technical resources to deliver the desired goals and outcomes of the client.
Role and Responsibilities
Oversee, coordinate, and administer all aspects of Data and analytics projects for Energy clients, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, communicating, and controlling project and program activities
Working with offshore delivery centers to deliver quality goals and outcomes for clients
Supervise onshore and offshore project and program staff by providing direction, input, and feedback
Building new opportunities, including architecting a program, developing teams, and project estimation
Work with various implementation methodologies (waterfall, hybrid-agile, and Agile) to plan and implement solutions for clients
Plan the delivery of the overall project and its activities according to the mission and goals
Develop a project-specific budget and operating plan and deliver that plan
Manage the project client relationships to achieve a high level of client satisfaction
Liaise with other project managers and team leads to ensure effective and efficient project and program delivery
Coordinate the delivery of services among different project activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency
Support the go-to-market team with responses to client RFPs and go-to-market initiatives
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum seven years of extensive data migration and integration or enterprise data
Experience with SQL/T-SQL, Python, ETL, No-SQL, ADF, Event Hub, Databricks, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, CosmoDB, Git, Azure DevOps, and modern architecture design principles.
Experience with Historical Data Migration, Bulk Data Migration, Technical Documentation, Creating ERD Diagrams, and Data Engineering via ADF Databricksmodernization project management experience or at least 12 years of IT experience.
Solid consulting experience with experience across Cloud Applications/ Integrations/API/microservices.
Experience managing batch/multi-functional Migrations/Integrations/API/ microservices delivery.
Must have recent experience (2 to 3 projects) as a Project Manager working with a client as a consultant.
PMP certification- preferred
