The Senior Software Engineer
- Takes ownership of stories and drives them to completion through all phases of the entire 84.51° Engineering process.
- Performs development in Python, Angular, and Fast API based Build reusable code and libraries
- Contributes to design, develops reusable UI components and highly available, low latency, cloud native applications
- Participates in full software development life cycle (SDLC) of cloud-based solutions – conceptualize, design, develop, test, deploy and support/enhance
- Feels comfortable engaging with the cloud ecosystem – Azure Cloud Services
- Partners with senior resources, gaining insights
- Develops subject matter expertise of the products/components developed and supported
- Provides mentoring to junior resources
- Participates in retrospective reviews
- Participates in the estimation process for new work and releases
- Brings new perspectives to problems
- Is driven to improve yourself and the way things are done
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree desired) typically in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Analytics or another technically strong program.
- Understanding of Agile Principles (Scrum)
- 3+ years Spring Boot and/or Java development experience
- 3+ years or proficient in advanced Angular JS and Typescript
- 3+ years or proficient in JavaScript
- Familiarity integrating Restful APIs, a good understanding of microservices architecture
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3
- Proficient in async request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Proficient in Object Oriented Principles
- Exposure to server-side CSS pre-processing platform (SASS or LESS)
- Experience with VCS (Git, SVN)
- Understanding of CI/CD

This is a Hybrid position. Candidates must be able to come into the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week. We have locations in Cincinnati, OH, Chicago, IL, Deerfield, IL, New York, NY, and Portland, OR.
